Pressure and tightness testing device for shock absorbers

The project is designed for the Czech branch of Frauenthal automotive in Hustopeče. It is a fully automated testing station for testing pressure tightness of shock absorbers with manual insertion and extraction of tested parts. The station consists of a precooling feeder conveyor with part orientation, a three-axis handler for automated removal of tested parts, a linear feeder with three working positions and an output conveyor with a storage capacity of about 100 pieces. The shock absorbers are tested for strength and tightness. Conforming parts are stamped and transferred to the good parts conveyor. Non-conforming parts are discarded into the bad parts container. The entire process is controlled automatically using a PLC.
