Visualization systems for combustion processes

Trystom was the principal designer in a successful research and development project supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, FLAME OBSERVER. The Palacký University in Olomouc and INDEL from Košice collaborated in the project. The aim of the project was to develop a new generation of systems for visualisation and analysis of combustion processes in real time.

The said systems are designed for the visualisation and optimisation of combustion processes in cement plants, coal-fired power plants, heating plants and incinerators. The system enables viewing the combustion process in extremely high temperature environment (approximately 1500º C) with the option of digital image processing and analysis in real-time for feedback for optimising the combustion process in terms of its effectiveness and the formation of undesirable combustion products.
